Building a strong presence on LinkedIn takes more than just setting up a business page—it requires active growth.
One of the most effective (and often overlooked) ways to expand your reach is by inviting your personal connections to Follow your LinkedIn business profile.
When your connections follow your business page, your updates, services, and expertise show up in their feeds. This turns LinkedIn into a steady channel for visibility, credibility, and growth.
Here’s how to make the most of LinkedIn’s invite feature, including how to maximize the monthly limit.
Step 1: Open Your Business Page Admin Tools
- Log in to LinkedIn.
- Navigate to your Business Page.
- At the top right, click “Admin Tools.”
- From the dropdown menu, select “Invite Connections.”
This feature allows you to send invitations directly to your network, encouraging them to follow your business profile.
Step 2: Understand the Monthly Invite Limit
LinkedIn currently allows page admins to send a set number of invites per month.
While this number can vary, most business owners receive 100 credits each month. I currently recieve 250/month.
- Each invite uses 1 credit.
- If someone accepts your invite and chooses to follow, that credit is returned to you.
- If an invite is ignored or declined, that credit does not come back.
This means you should send invites thoughtfully to connections most likely to follow.
Next month, the credits will reset.
Step 3: Strategically Use Your Invites
To maximize the value of your Follow invitations:
- Start with Warm Connections – Send invites to people you’ve engaged with recently. They’re more likely to follow your page.
- Prioritize Your Target Audience – If your services focus on small businesses, invite local owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals who match your ideal client profile.
- Send in Batches – Instead of sending all 100 at once, spread them out across the month. This keeps a steady flow of new followers discovering your content.
- Track Results – Check your analytics to see how many invites are converting into follows. Adjust your strategy based on what’s working.
TIP – I recommend that you download your LinkedIn connections. It imports them into excel, which can be turned into a table and sorted. Remember to add a column and turn their name into a hyperlink to their profile.
Another extremely helpful feature is searching the excel file for any name, title, job, etc. Reach out for more details on how to make this happen.
Step 4: Strengthen the Funnel Beyond the Follow
Getting a Follow is just the beginning. To turn those new followers into potential leads, you’ll need consistent engagement. Here’s how:
- Share Valuable Content – Post weekly updates that solve real problems for your audience. Example: “5 Ways to Turn Your Website into a Sales Funnel.”
- Link Back to Your Website – In your posts, invite followers to visit Cruz Web Designs for deeper resources.
- Engage with Followers – Reply to comments, send thank-you messages, and keep building trust.

Step 5: Repeat Each Month
Because credits refresh monthly, make it a habit to use all of them. Over time, this steady stream of invites compounds into a much larger audience. Think of it as planting seeds each month that grow into long-term visibility for your business.
Why Invites Work
LinkedIn’s algorithm favors content from business pages with higher engagement. When you invite connections to Follow, you’re signaling to LinkedIn that your page is active and relevant. More followers lead to more visibility, and more visibility creates more opportunities for growth.
