What is The Cajun Traveler & How am I involved?

The Cajun Traveler is an adventure and an explorers website and social media page dedicated to sharing everything Louisiana has to offer and beyond.

This includes details on sight seeing, historical locations, traditions, festivals and events, details on breweries/distilleries/wineries, and much more.

We are constantly expanding and exploring, sharing those details with you along the way.

The website was my own creation that started back in 2016.

My family is from the northern states so when they come to visit, they want the full experience!

Wouldn’t you want a local to show you around??

Of course, you would. It’s the only way to get the true experience and not just what you’ve seen on TV.

Plus, I got tired of hearing people say there is nothing to do around here, all while knowing there is constantly something to do in this state, you just have to know where to look.

Thus, I started my first website called The Cajun Traveler.

In 2018 we experienced a family hardship that required my full attention and effort, thus I shut the website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel down. It was a hard decision because so much effort and time went into learning how to design a website and following in social media.

I guess it wasn’t that hard of a decision because family has always been my top priority, but I do regret not keeping the files to establish the site later down the road.

At this time the website doesn’t exist.

There is a similar site created and maintained by a Lafayette Louisiana teacher at ULL called The Cajun Traveler.

Shifting to currently, the Facebook group has been created and is growing.

The YouTube channel has been created using our adventures across the west coast.

I continue to contribute to The Cajun Traveler when I can especially since exploring will always be a passion for our family.

I love to find new places to explore, not just the tourist attractions, the hidden gems!
