What is SEO?
SEO stands for search engine optimization.
Your website needs to be SEO optimized so search engines like Google, Yelp, & Bing can find it before others business.
If people can’t find your business online, chances are they will take their business elsewhere.
With prices through the roof everywhere we go, we have to do our research first.
Yes, some companies do pay to get their content to show up first, many run paid ads.
It’s only a short-term way of being seen.
I’m talking about setting up SEO keywords. Some website plugins only allow you to use one keyword, while upgraded versions allow multiple words and phrases.
I mean take your current content, find the most applicable words.hen make sure those align with the most searched words (Free using Google Trends).
That’s part one.
Are you wondering how it actually helps?
Search engines such as Google and Bing have these bots that go out and search websites for relevant content. When it searches content, it looks for repeat words or keywords.
When setting up SEO you typically ensure the keywords are in the title, beginning sentences, and throughout the content.
Things that also help are in-bound and out-bound links, pictures, readability, headers, meta descriptions, page summaries and more.
That’s part two.
SEO optimize of a website does require more work than most are willing to do but the results are compounding.
When we search for a provider nearby, we completely ignore business that don’t meet the following conditions:
1) It MUST have a website
2) It MUST have good reviews on Google
3) It needs to be open (Keep your operating hours UPDATED)
These are the bare minimum to even consider a business.
This especially includes restaurants to eat, mechanic shops, , or find a new animal vet.
As a business owner or customer, what improvements would you like to see?
